             Review Of Ghanchakkar

  Produced By: UTV Motion Pictures
  Directed By: Raj Kumar Gupta
Starring: Emraan Hashmi, Vidya Baalan, Rajesh Sharma and Namit Das
  Music: Amit Trivedi
  Star Rating:3/5

What`s Good: The performances, Real Locations, Single and double liner dialogues, Engaging Screenplay and Fresh Story
What`s Bad: Illogical scenes, Few moments in second half and slow music

                       (Script)
Ghanchakkar is an story of trio, who rob a bank and they take a decision that the money will be equally divided in the trio after three months. Pandit (Rajesh Sharma) and Idrees (Namit Das) gives an responsibility to Sanjay (Emraan Hashmi) to protect money for 3 months. But when they call him after three months, they finds that he (Sanjay) is suffering from an memory disease Retrograde Amnesia and he even don`t know the names of duo (Pandit-Idrees). He also forgett that where he keep the amount of 35 crores which they rob from bank. The entire comedy, thrills and drama turns arround to find money and gives you experience to watch an beautifull comedy with thrills.
Pravez Sheikh`s story is quite new and interesting. He added an beautifull affair of robbing and husband-wife`s interesting relationship. He has introduced an new genre (Thriller Comedy) with lots of adult stuff. Screenplay written by Pravez and Raj Kumar Gupta is very engaging. It keep the audience very connected to the film, which is very necessary for an thriller. First half is very fast and humourous, but second half has some ups and downs. Raj Kumar Gupta and Pravez Sheikh have penned very funny and multi liner dialogues, which can easily make you laugh. Especially, few dialogues of Vidya Balan can give you goosebumps.
                  (Performances)
Emraan Hashmi is brilliant as Sanjay. It is his best performance after Awarapan. Emraan has done an marvellous job in comic and emotional scenes. You can fall in love with his outstanding facial expressions. Vidya Balan who played the character of punjabi house wife is top on the game. 'Neetu Bhabi' is an character, which could not be played by any another actress. The fake punabi accent suits to this new wed actress and she given her cent percent to make Neetu`s character perfect. Namit Das and Rajesh Sharma duo is excellent in the roles of 'Idrees' and 'Pandit'. They manage to keep you laughing, even in anti hero moments.
                             (Music)
Amit Trivedi has not given even a single chartbuster to king of hit music (Emraan Hashmi) in this film. Only 'Ghanchakkar Baabu' is an appealing song, not not a huge hit. Amitabh Bhattacharya`s lyrics are catchy and logical. Amit Trivedi`s background score is more than good.
                              (Direction)
After giving some surprise sucesses, Raj Kumar Gupta is again in mood to shock you with his thriller comedy Ghanchakkar. His style of narration keeps you in touch with the film in even boring moments. You can`t even concentrate to your popcorns while watching Raj Kumar`s direction. He has taken an marvellous job from all of his actors. While watching the film, you can judge an mind blowing relationship between director and actors.
                            (My Word)
Ghanchakkar is an entertaining comedy which also serves you some thrill and action with blood shedd. It is an film which cannot be missed and it can easily make your weekend more than superb.
                             (Box Office Verdict)
UTV Motion Pictures has released this film in 2000 screens in all over the country. Film is expected to collect more than 7 crore rupees on its first day, because Ranbir Kapoor starrer Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is still doing good in few multiplexes and Punjabi Film 'Jatt and Juliet 2' is also giving a tough competition to this Emraan and Vidya Starrer.
